As Usual the Media Lied to All of Us! (Emailing: Furious Ann Coulter Strikes Back)

Yesterday I was really mad!


I was feeling pretty happy in the morning because the Kennedy Immigration Bill had been defeated in the Senate, but by early afternoon I was getting really fed up with Ann Coulter!


The reports all over the airwaves yesterday (both radio, television, and the web) indicated that while being interviewed on a T.V. show Monday morning, Ann Coulter had said, she wished John Edwards would have been killed by a terrorist attack . In addition it was being reported that Coulter referred to Edwards as a "f -gg- t" during the same interview!

Wow, I thought! I knew Ann was a little more to the right than I was, and I'd heard her say some things in the past that sort of made me cringe - but I didn't think she would ever say anything like that! I was mad that she would ever say such stupid things and gone that far!


Turns out I was wrong to be mad at Ann Coulter. As has become the norm in her case, the left was, once again, having a field day at her expense. The truth is that by the time she got "off the air" from her Good Morning America interview Monday, the uber-liberal bloggers and spin-doctors were dissecting her remarks and "massaging them" to their advantage. In addition, (never one to miss a chance at "getting" a conservative), Chris Matthews gleefully blindsided "guest" Coulter the following day on his MSNBC show, when he "prearranged" a phone call from John Edwards wife Elizabeth, without telling Coulter! Mrs. Edwards told an obviously shocked Coulter (and smiling Matthews) that she was offended by Coulter's statements in her Good Morning America interview.


So, what's the truth? Well, in actuality.....Ann Coulter never used the homophobic "f-word" insult she's reported to have used. (I should have realized she's classier than that). It's really becoming a very, very combative political arena in this country! My guess is that this is only the first volley in an assault on conservative pundits and talk show hosts, all geared toward getting "The Fairness Doctrine" re-instituted in this country.

As is referenced in the final 2 paragraphs in the NewsMax story, Democrat bloggers, and liberal politicians all over the news and web this week...seemingly at random...were all coming out and making emotional statements about how "talk radio and conservative pundits have high-jacked the media!" John Kerry even said, "this would have never happened if we still had the Fairness Doctrine in place." Oh please - Random?

You tell me...whenever you have Feinstein, Kerry, Pelosi, Kennedy, Clinton, Shumer, the Daily Kos, and MoveOn.org all spewing saliva about the unfairness of talk radio hosts and the need for a return to the fairness doctrine.....geez boys & girls, does this sound random to you? Nahh, you got it kids! This has the grubby little "talking point" paw prints of Rahm Emanuel, the DNC, Chucky Shumer and the sleazzzy Clintons all over it.


Hold onto your hats folks...this is going to be a long , hot, incredibly contentious campaign!


Sorry I ever doubted you Ms. Coulter! It won't happen again!
